RSA Security and Red Hat, Inc. Sign Licensing Agreement BEDFORD, Mass. and Durham, N.C., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS - news) today announced that Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq: RHAT - news) has signed an agreement to license RSA BSAFE® SSL-C software for use in the Red Hat Linux Professional Edition product. As part of the companies' agreement, Red Hat will work with RSA Security for assistance in the design and implementation of enhanced security functionality in a new version of the Red Hat Linux Professional Edition. The two companies are actively working together to implement the RSA BSAFE technology and quickly bring to market a new version of this product.
In addition, the two companies have agreed to initiate joint marketing programs for their respective products and services. RSA Security and Red Hat will work in tandem to foster enhanced security across the Linux operating system and open source technologies to better serve Internet-based commerce.
