ODIS is not acting as though they are grooming themselves for buyout. They seem to be trying to change their spots for strategic reasons. You can't fool anyone into purchasing a red herring. The company has to become a viable operation before any offer could materialize. Would you buy it? The more likely course is that they continue to move in the constructive directions they are. They're feeling for the right one. That's not bad. It would be nice to see more LINUX commitment. ORCL doesn't own that space. The question for me is what I asked earlier about interoperability of their server software combo and the now developing Web mainframe connection.
