I think they are unctuous when they are evidently insincere. I use them myself if I feel sufficient uncertainty to warrant them. I will not judge whether you normally mean them or not.... In your last message to me, I didn't notice much difference from your usual posts, frankly. I only noted the lack of such phrases because you had brought it up. I thought it sounded fine... I value your participation, but sure, I have been running a seminar. Haven't you noticed the unusual degree to which we are on point, and the difference in tone from other threads?....LOL! For the rest, I think you make some good points, worth pondering. I have had Beckett in the back of my mind, but I am uncertain....
