Naw. They have to do this. If they didn't, and something went wrong (what doesn't in business), they could be accused by some aggrieved person of giving misleading info. The same could be said of the new 'forward-looking' statements.

To me it's just more BS, dreamed up by some bureaucrat, that actually does squat to inform or protect the investor. If they would just hold companies to 'full, true, timely and plain disclosure', that would probably be sufficient. However, too many games played by too many 'sharp customers' has lead to this proliferation of legalese.
