I have considered them. I disagree with the Amazon blurb, but I never finished the Principia Mathematica,so perhaps I am naive. As far as I can tell, though, mathematical logic has been pretty sterile except for its influence on Games Theory, which is important....Pierce and James are essentially 19th century figures, and I have earlier spoken of my objections to Dewey....The Vienna Circle may have some claim, but I think they were pretty much wrong in dismissing traditional questions....Wittgenstein and "ordinary language theory" have some cache, by I always thought it sterile....Now, the Neo- Thomists (Maritain, Gilson, even Mortimer Adler) may have a claim....LOL!
