Why would a talented engineer stay with this company while others double, triple, etc., their salary through stock incentives and retirement plans? >> Why do you think they are spinning these startups off? Think about it. Can a higher salary somewhere else compete with owning shares in a successful startup in a hot market segment after an IPO? Which approach causes everyone to put out that "extra" effort? What can make 12-16 hours days worth it? These people have to be busting their butts making their products a success. If they succeed, we as investors will be well rewarded too. BTW, what do you think of MRVC's $3 million investment in NAC now? What do you think their NAC shares will be worth after an IPO?
