Art and Thread,

I have reviewed some of the recent court arguments in the Lexar patent infringement suit and the key portion of the SanDisk patent (5,602,987) in question has to do with disc drive emulation/ATA interface.

SanDisk's contributions and patents in this area date back to their original work in pen-based computing systems with further refinements occuring concurrently with the formation of the PCMCIA and, most recently, the CFA.

I quess it comes down to whether you believe that Lexar has created a totally unique disc drive emulation technology or whether they are just bluffing.

Or maybe John Reimer discovered a new technique while day-dreaming on a lunch break while still a SanDisk employee???

I tend to believe that Lexar knows they infringed and just are not ready to face the music.

No, they want to be wrestled to the mat.

Well, look out...

...here comes a body slam.
