Hi Gary, Over the years (may be off a year or two here) the price of gold has seen lows around the years and at these prices as I recall and this is off the top of my bald head so some one with a chart is free to correct me here . Low 1985 ,$293 bounces back to $502 ,1987 .Falls to around $325 by 1989 bounces back to $400 or so 1990 falls to 330 by 1992 December if I recall (whenI loaded up the truck with BGO at .67 cents) then takes off that spring in 1993 to 380 area. then falls back in 1994 to 340 something then by 1995 December again hits another $340 something low ,BGO after being up to $4 something falls to $1.70 or so Dec. 95 I load up again gold takes off in January 1996 runs to $411 or so then falls from spring 1996 to today. Yes Gary Every time without question everbody said gold had breathed it;s last. Buy bonds,t-bills, dow stocks ,sperm banks, anything but gold! But something always comes along ,a monarary crises,war,unrest,inflation, something to relight it;s fire.Last summer it was BGO/AZS (I think they may do so again) if not them something will. It will be of value when our currancy,bonds,T-bills and financial advisors are all dead! Short term looks poor but before the year is out we will be ok,Bre-x has sucked a lot of money out of our market to be sure but one company now matter how good or bad the results a compleat market does not make.
