Canada Corel to unveil Linux product at Comdex ...Corel, which has boosted its spending at the trade show by 35-45 percent over last year, is making every effort to ride a growing wave of Linux enthusiasm. Cowpland, who will make a keynote speech at the Linux Business Expo at Comdex on Tuesday, has back-to-back media briefings for Corel's new desktop Linux system. In addition to renting meeting rooms, Corel returns to the show floor this year after abandoning booth rentals to cut costs. Ottawa-based Rebel.com, which has developed a Linux server, will join 25 percent owner Corel at the booth.... newsalert.com
