I sold everything, waited for it to clear (3 bus days) and had them wire the funds ($50 or something outrageous), which added a total of two business days until I could trade again. If you have holdings, they can transfer them by you filling out a form and faxing it to Schwab, but be prepared for those to take 2 to 3 weeks to transfer! I did it while I was on holidays...
