Carl: I would consider RMBS a short term trade on the long side in this environment. The INTC downgrade from ML stated that the RMBS plan was in disaray so any change in perception may cause one to make a few bucks on the long side. I am not putting any money into it at this time so you can gauge my level of excitement over this trade <g>. I agree with you re the technicals of DRMBS. I just ordered a computer from Dell last night and my research indicated to me that RDRAM was nothing worth waiting or paying for IMO. BTW, shortage of Coppermine chips is causing a two week slowdown in the fulfillment of orders in the Dell pipeline.
