I think it's worth comparing AND contrasting QCOM and SPYG. Both are in the business of wireless data communication, though SPYG concentrates mainly on fitting the data to a small, non-PC appliance. Wireless data is now the fastest growing sector in the whole field of information technology.

QCOM is mostly hardware. SPYG is mostly software. Both have proprietary technology which is being licensed to others. If the proprietary technology of SPYG proves superior to that of competitors such as PHCM, then SPYG will succeed just as QCOM has succeeded by showing that its CDMA technology is superior to competing and older GSM and TDMA systems.
