State Farm is not the wonderful friendly Neighborhood Insurance Company they are portrayed..I have a compression fracture of a lower vertebrae. (L5) from an accident. I have a fully loaded Policy..300/300 and 100/200 uninsured motorist.plus all the other collision etc..I can no longer do the Aerobics...Yoga..and the gymnastics I did before.or even walk any distance as I did before..I sat out the year following..this accident..to heal..I chose a Chiropractor..since the Medical profession let me walk around with this injury for 5 days..They cat scanned my head..XRayed my neck...when I kept complained of pains in the groin region???? Only the Chiropractor had the common sense to XRay the entire spine..I will always be in danger of paralysis if I ever have another accident..That is the tragedy of this type of injury.. I was hit by a young lady who had PIP insurance.She ran a Red light at the corner of Kennedy and Willow..with two Cruisers parked on the corner watching..(Colleen will know where this is)..Now comes the real tragedy..My car was totaled' I got low book value..;-( State farm has collected $15,000 from the Drivers PIP..They have paid out $8,000 to my Chiropractor..I had to resort to Legal means to get this $...Now they want me to settle for $10,000.when I have uninsured motorist on myself for $100,000 ?????? State Farm has been sued for using generic auto parts..I know about that..they shredded documents and they lost the case to the tune of $6.5 Billion...Now I see their own Agents have launched a suit against them for not paying claims..They will lose this case too..They sure should be paying their Actuaries well...;-( They just formed a separate Corp in Florida..why??? I have carried their Insurance for 12 years...But I will go with an agency in R.I. that is much cheaper and pays when they should.. and I will hook onto State Farms Legal cases..on both issues..Insurance is a nasty business..I know that they are up against a lot of fraudulent claims..but my case is not one of these and should not be handled as such..would you not agree...????????
