Jon, thank you kindly. You have rekindled an old "give up" formula. The "P" is limited to the close of the issue as in... "In a custom indicator, the values for HIGH, LOW, CLOSE, VOLUME, OPEN, and OPEN INTEREST always come from the base security. For example, if you drop the custom indicator "HIGH - LOW / P" on a price plot that is not the chart's base security, the HIGH and LOW values will still come from the base security. The "P" value will represent the CLOSE of the security it was dropped on." but... one can do the preliminary stuff with indicators and then reference the plot. good to hear there is a security function down the pike bdog
