I've been watching pretty closely since the CNBC mention and the resulting fade. Once again the stock price acts in an counterintuitive way, and I find it amusing that nobody on this board is the least bit surprised; we've all seen this before, and I think we all know that our influence on the mood of the price is slight.

As for Bill Wexler-- Because I've become more of a trader than an investor I believe I know exactly what he is thinking. He wants to buy the stock, but he is afraid of the strange, periodic sell-offs. Hence Wexler would really like to see the price go down to 36 before he makes his first purchase. At that price, he probably would feel comfortable even if the price fell further because then the technicals would reach that no-man's land area (like a very low RSI) where loading up is the only thing to do. I mean, Wexler knows as well as anyone that over any medium time frame (like 3-6 months) THQI will hit new highs. That's why he does not recommend shorting. Wexler is just stuck in the classic trader's dilemma: he knows the stock is a good buy for the investor but for the trader he might get a better price. So he's doing nothing, just hoping the price will fall to a level he is more comfortable with.

I don't this guy is as nefarious as Emmo makes him out to be but these comparisons with ERTS and especially this nonsense about what the respective prices are doing by Thanksgiving is pretty laughable. ERTS is a great stock but a) it's not that much safer than THQ and b) it has less explosive upside potential.
