hey brent, few ISPs right now are offering Northpoint's DSL service for only $59.95 a month which includes the ISP, e-mail, free install, free modem and first month of service free. the speed you get with this is a SDSL 416K/416k. Since Northpint uses frame relays you can get a CIR (commited information rate) or a speed guarantee of about %85-98 from most ISPs. after this ruling, this price can go lower about $10 to make it only 49.95!!! thats a little attractive. cable is at 39.95. you have to pay another $10 for renting the modem. keep in mind that cable is a shared network so you don't have any speed guarantees on it. this ruling is great for all the CLECs and the whole dsl industry. now we have a real war against cable. imo.
