Does anybody know why RJR was able to spin off its tobaccco assets without the fear of being charged with fraudulent conveyence, and MO says it won't because of it?

"
As far as I see it, RJR used the right moment to do it. It was just after the state settlement and prior the federal lawsuit. It was during a time when no massive award was expected.
Now, the situation is different with the Engle case and the federal lawsuit. I think the moment passed when MO had the chance to spin off.

Theo, I also would like where you found this information about the sale Bible's shares.
