With regard to the Premarin please only use the synthetic. Premarin stands for pre(gnant)mar(e)(ur)in(e). The conditions these mares are kept in is ghastly. For eight months of the year they stand in a stall where they are collected. They are then kicked outside to deliver foals with no one in attendance. Many of the foals die upon being exposed to below zero temperatures. A lot of the mares die delivering as well. Unless the foal is above average it gets hit on the head or killed by the resident stallion when the mare is being pasture bred. From the remaining foals only a handful do not make the yearly trip to the slaughterhouse. I would implore you only hand out the synthetic Premarin, your doctor will provide it upon request.
