rudedog: Can I have an addendum, too? If iPaq is configured for W2000 and not W9X how can COMPAQ ship in January if W2000 is not available until February (or later)? Does COMPAQ get advanced shipments of 2000 from MSFT?

When I listened to MC I got the impression that iPaq was not restricted to 2000, but had been designed to take advantage of 2000 when it became available as an upgrade. But I have probably got that wrong.
