Pat,
Thank you for addressing my concerns to RC. I feel somewhat better
that he knows of no reason for the sharp decline in price, but am
still disappointed that he feels the company should not respond to
this. Last year they did respond to the stock sell-off, stating
they knew of no reasons for the decline. What is different about
this year ? The difference is that it's a much sharper decline,
the stock is in single digits, and worst of all lower than it was
this time last year. If they felt an announcement was prudent last
year, then certainly one is necessary now -- if they really know
of no reason for the sell-off. It's nice of RC to talk with you
and tell you he is unaware of any news causing this, but that will
not stabilize the stock price. A public announcement would. Many
shareholders, long and short term, are bailing or considering
bailing because they don't hear anything from the company. This
silence is like a cancer that keeps spreading negative views
of the company throughout the investing public. I can understand
wanting to remain conservative, but this silence may just kill
this company. Would a person withhold cancer treatment while the
cancer spread throughout their entire body because they were
conservative ? Then begin treatment of the cancer after it became to late and apparent that it was fatal. Amati should step up to the
plate and address the cancers that are afflicting it's stock.
One announcement would relieve the anxiety of the marketplace
regarding this company. If they have any concern for their
shareholders then now is the time to act. Without action, the
rumor mill will continue running at full steam and there will be less
and less people buying this stock.

Also, if things are still on course, how come there is no insider
buying at these levels? These prices have not been seen in over a
year and if things are looking good, seems like a great time for
them to buy. We seem to be the only ones buying and we don't have
any real knowledge of what's actually going on behind the scenes.
No insider buying and no news announcements at these price levels
is equivalent to a cancer metastasizing.

Feel free to pass this on to RC as he seems to be the only link
to the company. Again, thanks for addressing my concerns today.

Regards,

Dave
