And finally for this week, here is one last look at the group from a different perspective. During the week of 19 September 1997, the group made its high for the year. Since then it has been pretty much downhill except for the present recovery the last few months. This week, for the first time since 9/19/97, the group sum is higher than it was then. The question is: How have the individual stocks done within the group. The answer is: Not very well on the average. 13 of the stocks are up, and 23 are down. At the bottom end of the table, a fairly grim picture emerges.
