MSWIN will send you detailed information if you ask re: their new product. I really like MSWIN as a charting software and indicator builder and Explorer. The chart features are crisp and excellent. I own Omnitrader and like the automatic trendlines (which MS doesn't support). But I still view most of my charts through MS. MS is a good platform if you are interested in developing your own indicators.You can then use those indicators to search your database for stocks meeting your specific criteria.
All you need is your imagination and a reasonable feel for spreadsheet formulas and you can create many different indicators.
MS does not supply its own datasource. They do include a disk of MS format data with 6.0 that will work with Telescan. This is the best if you are not on a flat rate service. When you read "Metastock compatible data", they are referring to data that is compatible with MS, not data supplied by MS. Most software packages read this format as MS has been around for awhile and is well respected.
