Jane,

I've made mention of a couple of books which Shalom suggested as gifts for my parents about two years ago.

I recently got them both back, and of course read most of each.

There was one particular passage written by my mother which I have been very eager to share, but just couldn't really seem to find a place where I would be most comfortable doing so.

From my mother's book ("Reflections from a Mother's Heart") the following:

Qustion: When did you become a Christian? How did your life change?

Answer: When I was about 12 at some special services our church had. I knew at that time I was to accept Christ as my Savior. I don't think my life changed drastically at that time. Getting used to hearing the Holy Spirit and recognizing God's voice takes time.

There was another time when I was about 35 that I realized my life wasn't what it should be. At that time I knelt down by our bed and told God I was giving Him everything I knew how to give. At that time I felt a deeper love for all people and as I slept that night saw a very comforting bright light.

Jane, its nice to see you again. But not much has changed in my personality, and I'm just as prone to being argumenative. But I do enjoy reading you, and frankly, regardless of how others may perceive you, think you are truly a treasure in spite of our periodic differences of opinion.

You're a joy to read,

Mike
