Believe you are right. They can stack four "memory devices" what I will call an MD. 2 64MB MD's can be stacked to produce a 128 or 4 for a 256. 4 256 stacks yield a gigabyte of memory and 8 on a board is where they are getting there 2 gig product. This is my understanding, which I have to checkout with my tekky friend. Could mean big $$$ for DPAC. suspect that if Dataram stacked memory modules are being sold to replace OEM modules in CPQ, IBM, HWP, DIGITAL, DELL, SGI, & SUN, (and CPQ's warranty was recently extended to permit the use of DTM modules)the use of stacking technology as OEM product, hopefully DPAC's, will likely follow.
