David, Considerably more than $100...no way. I know you want it to be...but it is not. I know...I can't prove it. But I could not prove that Secugen was under $100 before either...because I had no online source to point you to. You can call the company and ask them about pricing, though. Problem is...it is heresay...and I would not post anything without verifiable factual basis...although for some "because I say so" is a good enough reason to believe...it is not for me. Anyway...define "untested." Because clearly this company...even this "third tier" company...obviously tested the product somehow before it released it. So it is tested...at least to a point. I highly doubt that the mass market testing is going to be any different...it is not like it is going to fall apart or anything.... More comfortable dealing with Compaq? Is Compaq pushing IDT product? compaq.com At the conference call...sales were 250K. So in a little over a year...250K... Let's see: 250K/12 = 21K a month average. How strongly do you think Compaq is pushing IDT stuff to average sales like that? Not very? IDX is going to have to go out and get the sales...Compaq is sure not going to do it for them. While it is true that IDX can say Compaq chose us...so you can buy us through them, and that has to mean we are good.....that is not determinative. I think anyone looking to buy biometric is going to do research and testing of their own. I am more than confident of NRI's (old habits die hard) ability to compete with their superior software and competitive price in testing against anyones product, period. You are right, though. This is just the beginning of the Comdex news. Maybe even IDX will release something ;) Regards, Bob
