[Westell. . .]

<<<From the report....SF believes Bell Atlantic is developing a digital loop carrier based system developed by Westell and DSC Comm.

SF believes GTE is the relationship that all are most anxious for Westell to announce.....They say when announced that most likely WSTL will be joined by Cisco and Microsoft and posiibly others in providing a "separate national carrier network" such as a competitive local exchange carrier to deliver the service.>>>

I don't follow Westell as closely as Amati (do I understate?), but I can say I've heard Bell Canada is close to announcing something. As for GTE and Westell, WSTL's doing the CAP portion in the trials and is expected to win any forthcoming CAP contract. Cisco and Microsoft have announced a partnership already so, again, it wouldn't be surprising to see them involved in some way. Where Amati fits into all this remains to be seen. What's puzzling me about their upcoming announcements is that there are quite a few --- "some small, some large," in RC's words. I don't know how they tie together or whether they'll come out one at a time or all at once.

<<<Also, there seems to be some "disagreement" between your earlier post that Amati is not short on funds and Iceburg's general comments that they are in great need of cash.>>>

Not surprising since there's probably not much we agree on. I've been told Amati doesn't have cash problems by several very reliable people, including the CEO. You might want to ask Iceburg his sources.

Patience? Well, I'm there with you. Just about out. I actually started crying when the stock went to 7.5 this morning. Yeah. Right. Alot of good that did. I know. And I hated myself, but I was so frustrated I didn't know what else to do. I really can't picture myself pushing a grocery cart up and down highway 101.

Anyone need a research assistant??? Tenacity is her middle name. :))

Cheers!

Pat
