Hi again. Woke up okay and eating another neat salad (!) for breakfast - try this one.

Coarse chopped fresh spinach (bot cleaned in the bag)
canned garbanzos (S+W is good) (nice brine-derived flavor)
can a beets (I forget if they're pickled) (I think so. Yes.)

(Lotsa spinach, okay?) (A lot. Spongy.)

c. 1/2 cup TOASTED pumpkin seeds (no complaining)
crumbled feta to taste

tart dressing of:

Olive Oyl (c 2 parts?)
rice wine vinegar (c 1 part?)
(or 50-50, depending on deft palate.)
salt and pepper.

Sometimes seeds and nuts just HAVE to be toasted. Balance of flavors and all. There is NO, absolutely NO room for salad laziness, damnit. Unfortunately.

Goddam flavors. Little nuisances, the bastards are.

"But salad will keep you going in times of no libraries, better than salt dork will keep you going in times of Ferdinand Magellan."

What a nice name. You don't see many (any?) kids named Ferdinand today.

Or Ferdinanda.

Sat Chitaferdinanda.

"Hortense," is the other one.

Hortense, is not as distressing, as the loss of Ferdinand.

No real loss, with Hortense.

Struck out, Hortense did.

Well. Enjoy your salad. I did,I ate a qwart!

And now it's nap time!!! Ooooh. Yah! Drink some water.

Bye.
