I have seen far too many people go into the ranks of sales merely on the strength of the " I like people"

I spent 13 years as a headhunter, placing salesmen. I will never forget the Sales Manager who used to hire from me, and, after interviewing in my office one day, said:

"Bill, I am so tired of talking to men who say they want to sell because they like people.

I would love to hire a guy who says he wants to sell because he does not really like people, but he loves to manipulate them!"
