A possibly interesting statistic. Softbank's employees, as of March 31, had an average age of 30.5 and received an average monthly salary of 425,192 yen. It seemed to me that this was rather high compensation. In Japanese corporations the monthly salary increases about 40% as one progresses from age 30 to age 40. Approximately at that time it ceases to increase much unless the person receives a promotion to some managerial rank. So softbank's salaries are higher than
Sony's, average age 38,6, average salary 506,902,Toyota 37.2 and 452,516.Sakura Bank 38.0 and 502,574. I looked for the highest salaries I could find and here they are so it seems that 9984 pays the highest or at least near the highest of any Japanese publicly traded corporation. Some might think that the employees are being paid more than necessary. My personal feeling is that paying a little more than the rest attracts talented people and talented people are usually worth far more than they are paid. In my view this is an attractive fact for Softbank.
