After formatting my hard-drive, I have it back up and running with only minor glitches. The worst is my original CD for Word and Excel 97 won't work, it keeps giving me messages that it is dirty even though I cleaned it. Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix it? The drive works OK with other CD's. It's taken me a while re-jiggling the settings on everything, but at least, no more crashes so far. Also, when I shut down it hangs on the MS window. How can I get it past that point? Thanks to everybody for all their tips. Clay.
