Mike and thread...well it is building. For months I have talked to my co-workers about Q. Suggested they buy a piece, even a small piece, at 150, later at 180, at 200, then, recently at 280. No takers. Usual nonsense..too expensive, never heard of them, yada yada. Well, now some of these wise heads are starting to come back to me asking about Q. And you know what their plan is? They fully intend to buy right after the split. Absolutely, no question...they will do it. They think they are in on the ground floor at that point. I tried to explain that buying 100 shares today is the same as buying 400 shares then, (except they will enjoy the runup in the next six weeks), but they thing it is "more affordable" in December. Now, don't misunderstand me. It is fine to buy a Gorilla anytime, but there is a mindset here which is going to help the stock price big time.
O.K. If I know three or four people like this, imagine how many are out there waiting, waiting, for the split so they can buy the Q? Amazingly, the name is still not widely recognized in the general investment community, but that will change and the retail buying is going to pump us up again in January.
I love the average investor. |
