Jean; Here is a V-call url of analist Corcoran explaining the TV Guide Gemstar sale.

vcall.com

I haven't seen much further info on the business plan going forward, maybe others have.

The best way to research this one would be to get a copy of Corcorans 38 page report which is, unfortunatly gone from Stephens Inc web site, (maybe some one that has it could pm you) listen to this call and then read all NY Stew's posts on the GMST folder. And all the news off Yahoo or whoever you use.

Some of us feel that we may now be in a licenseing tornado and the real tornado will start when the advertising revenues show up GMST's 10Q, or at least the news.

Of coarse this market may see the AT&T PR as news, we already knew about it, and bid the stock up. There is limitless PR that could be released on this stock, as there are so many players and its so complicated.

Some of us also feel that there is also plenty of room for a stumble by Gemstar before the ad money shows up. For instance TV Guide hasn't even digested the interactive guide they bought last spring and they have already announced a buy out. And then there are still law suits.

It would be best for a guy to really research this one really well before buying in.

I feel that Rambus, for instance, was much more of a no brainer than this one.

Nothing wrong with a guy buying at the start of the revenue tornado if he so inclined, I feel that is where most of the money will be made.

Or as Lindeybill told me, I would probably own some if I didn't have Q (at Fridays closing price).

Good Luck
Doug
