Re: Penguins/Flyers - In Philly, we never looked at the Penguins as a bitter rival. It's just there. Believe it or not, there is really no rivalry to speak of between any of the pro sports teams. The closest it came was the Phillies & Pirates in the early-mid '70's.

From a Philly fans perspective, the Rangers by far are the Flyers biggest rival. The Devils & Islanders (when they still played hockey on Long Island) and now Florida are second tier rivals.

The Flyers could be in trouble because Hextall picked a bad time to go into a slump. If they would have beat the Devils on Sunday, they would have had home ice through the Eastern Playoffs and got the Habs instead of the Penguins.

I would love to see the Flyers/Rangers but that won't happen unless it's in the Eastern finals. I think the Rangers have a tougher go. First Florida and then probably Jersey.
