I think your "life cycle" estimate of 2-3 years is probably correct. I will check this out.

Down the road WIND's royalties from servers will not be from the IxWorks OS alone ($1.50). I would imagine that some of there future vertical solutions will be in the area of Intelligent RAID and Intelligent LAN. These being total solutions carry higher royalty rates, perhaps 5X+ normal rates.
