My husband used to use the term "gomers" and I never knew where it came from. Always assumed it was from Gomer Pyle or some such thing. You learn something everyday! Anyway, I can see both sides of the hospital dining issue. Would like to say that no disparagement is intended, AFAIK, but of course it cannot be proven. Enough on that. Regarding IPOs, I think it should be Open Season for all, the company owns the shares when they begin trading, at a specific price. (I'm sure there are arguments against that, and I don't know how these things work, but it seems to me that simplicity is best.
