You read the Fiend's comments on the Elves?. hohoho

No More Bears!

It finally happened! The Elves Index on Wall Street Week reached +7. Gail Dudack a long time Bear has been replaced by Alan Bond who is a Bull. The index moved from +5 to +7 and there are no longer any Bears! Louis Rukeyser is now in Bull Heaven because he no longer even has to consider any bearish ideas.

This has been a pattern that has been very consistent in recent months. A lot of long time Bears such as Michael Metz and Charles Clough are being either fired or forced out. Bears are no longer on the endangered species list, they are practically extinct!

Sentiment has apparently shifted back to euphoria for the Bulls. Among my friends and acquaintances who still admit to being bearish, I get the idea that they are beginning to believe that the stock market mania will never end.

Has anyone ever seen Omega Man with Charlton Heston? It was a sci-fi flick from 1971 that had Chuck as one of the last men on earth after a deadly plague wiped everyone out. The only survivors were horrible mutants who attempted to kill him every night. Campy, to be sure but it was a typical doomsday role for Chuck in-between his stints in Planet of the Apes (1968) and Soylent Green (1973).

The current situation reminds me of Omega Man except I would call it Omega Bear. I'm the last Bear on earth! All of the other Bears have been wiped out and there is no one else left but mutant Bulls who were permanently altered by a mad scientist named Dr. Alan Greenspan.

If anyone knows when the last time the Elves Index hit +7, please email me. I believe that it is a record at least dating back to when the Dow began its current Bull run back in early 1995.
