Rambus Memory Now Available From U.S. NT Workstation Market Leader
ROUND ROCK, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 1999--Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL - news), the world's leading direct computer systems company, today announced the Dell Precision(tm) WorkStation 420, the fastest workstation ever available from Dell.
Incorporating single or dual Intel® Pentium® III processors at either 733 or 600 MHz and the Intel 840 chipset with 133 MHz front-side bus, the Dell Precision WorkStation 420 can be built-to-order for customers who design, develop and create using the industry's most demanding applications.
The Dell Precision WorkStation 420 also includes memory technology from Rambus® (Nasdaq:RMBS - news). A single Rambus DRAM, referred to as RDRAM®, transfers data at speeds up to 800 MHz, faster than traditional 100 MHz SDRAM.
