Thanks for the correction on Zweig; the SI post that I was quoting apparently stretched what he said. If neither of the two wells 9 miles north hit, CWEI remains a regular independent oil company just like it is at this moment, subject to the whims of oil prices the same as other independents, at least until they can do their own pinnacle reef drilling later this year, or another well attempt is made by either Broughton/Zackson, or Marathon, just north of CWEI.

As an aside, with three rigs currently drilling CWEI may soon move into the intermediate class of independents, producing more than 10,000 barrels of oil per day; but for now the stock price still comes down to the bottom line and that number is directly dependent on oil prices.
