Hi CB, that story about Madame Lalaurie is interesting. Do you know of Andrei Codrescu? He is from Romania and teaches at LSU. You may have heard his commentary on NPR. He is steeped in the lore of Romania, he's written of the Dracula legends and of Vlad the Impaler. He's been at LSU since the early 80's I believe, and probably knows of the Madame Lalaurie story. If not, I'm sure he'd like to know, it seems right up his alley. His literary journal is called Exquisite Corpse.
