Just like a river runs towards the ocean for its eventual confluence, Radha representing the human lesser soul desires to attain conflation with the Greater Soul Krishna / Shaam.
Eventually the river and the ocean are the same.........The water-laden clouds form from evaporation of water in the ocean, precipitates in to rain, form rivers and go to ocean and the cycle is repeated. The same is true of man and God.
