To me, Andy's inflection points were more like the time Intel decided they needed to get out of DRAM, or continue to bleed badly. Also, biting the bullet and offering replacements carte blanche for Pentium classics with the FDIV problem was another one. Right now with AMD, to me, it's like the .200 hitter getting a couple of singles and a double in one game, and one analyst jumping to the conclusion that he's going to compete for the batting title.
