Hank: <What does this have to do with anything anyway?> I was just tempering the picture you were trying to paint a bit of a person driven by a desire to prove himself. Most people who attend the places he did already have and, in the case of Middlebury (which is also one of the most, if not the most, expensive colleges in the USA) can afford to do just about anything they want - and would not be fairly depicted by the image you seemed to be envisioning.
