To All, Re: News Releases - Monday, November 15, 1999 Semhari East - 1 Well Spudded =========================================================================== Mr. Ian Rozier, President & CEO of CVL Resources Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Semhari East - 1 oil exploration well on the Hassi Bir Rekaiz concession in Algeria has spudded. The well will be drilled to total depth of approximately 3,800 metres, targeting the Triassic and Ordovician reservoirs, the most prolific reservoirs in the region. It is anticipated that drilling will take approximately 90 days to complete. A second well will be drilled immediately following completion of Semhari East - 1. The Company is also active in N. Ireland where it has a 25% interest in the Larne Project; drilling commenced there last week.
