Pascal. I have to disagree with you. Discount Rate much more important.
When discount rate is raised, prime rate is raised by all banks (most of
them within 1/2 an hour of the announcement from the FED). And after
the prime rate goes up, mortgage rates as well as most other rates jump as
well. The discount rate has far more impact on economics.
