It is now summer in Argentina and the drilling season is just starting. IMA has a great deal of property in known GOLD areas. They are now associated with Barrick in an exciting relationship in several of IMA'S properties. Barrick knows what IMA has and wants a share! Most of the 1.5 million $'s they have invested in IMA is going for the proving up of IMA'S properties. What a deal for Barrick!

NEWS RELEASE

November 15, 1999

EXPLORATION PROGRAM UNDERWAY
ADJACENT TO GOLD DISCOVERIES TOTALING +25 MILLION OUNCES

Mr. Joseph Grosso, President & C.E.O., is pleased to announce that IMA
Exploration Inc. has commenced exploration in the Valle del Cura district of San Juan, Argentina. The Company has budgeted a minimum expenditure of $1.125 million for work on five of IMA's nine properties in the Valle del Cura region, which hosts the Pascua and Veladero discoveries.

The Company's technical team will initially conduct follow-up exploration on the Rio de las Taguas and Potrerillos concessions (currently under option to Barrick Gold Corporation) concentrating on alteration zones associated with southeast trending faults that extend from the neighbouring +20 million ounce Pascua gold discovery onto IMA's claims. The targets were identified through the interpretation of satellite colour anomalies and extrapolation
of linear structural elements, which are major controls for the
mineralisation on both the adjoining Pascua and Veladero properties.

Additional properties included in this exploration program are the 100% owned Gollete, Ortiguita, and Banitos concessions, bringing the total area being explored to 24,694 hectares (54,326 acres).

IMA is a long established explorer and pioneer in Argentina since late 1993 and holds strategic land positions in five highly prospective mining regions, several of which are in close proximity to major discoveries. The Company is well positioned to continue to attract quality properties and is in active discussions with major mining companies as potential joint-venture partners through its extensive contact base in Argentina. IMA is well financed and looks forward to working with Barrick on its Valle del Cura exploration programs.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD

"Joseph Grosso"
