Yes, but - the company is running great the way it is, with all things interconnected and intertwined. You'd get a lot of argument from the software community. Linux and other OS's are more stable; Windows is more prone to crash than the others, and it's likely due to the spiderweb nature of the product. MSFT the company runs great, but it may be stifling innovation outside of MSFT itself. Why invest time and money if you can see that MSFT will simply take your idea from you without compensation? We consumers won't complain, because we're not paying for innovations that MSFT isn't paying for.
