LOS ANGELES, Nov 15, 1999 (ENTERTAINMENT WIRE) -- As announced last week, ReelPreviews.com, the premiere entertainment multimedia website, has teamed again with New Line Cinema to broadcast LIVE from the Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard, which will be re-named "Powers Video" for the home video/ DVD release launch of Austin Powers, The Spy Who Shagged Me. ReelPreviews.com will go live on Tuesday, November 16th at 5:30 PM (PST) for the Hollywood extravaganza, where several cast members are expected to make an appearance. Mixing with the actual cast will be "look-alikes" for the look-alike contest, and the band, Shagwar will be on hand for added entertainment.
ReelPreviews.com announced today that they will once again coordinate with Dan Rayburn of GLOBIX to stream the broadcast exclusively through the Microsoft Windows Media Player. Entertainment Boulevard, will once again team with ReelPreviews.com to encode the broadcast. ReelPreviews.com was very happy with the encoding on The Bachelor and Light It Up premiere broadcasts and that led them to again, choose Entertainment Blvd. The festivities will be broadcast on ReelPreviews.com's "The Reel Show," hosted by Peter Waldman. During the one and a half-hour live broadcast, Waldman will be posing Austin Power's trivia questions to on-line viewers. The first person to e-mail the correct answer will receive free The Spy Who Shagged Me gear, provided by Moletown.com.

Over 300,000 people logged on to "The Reel Show" over a three-day period to see the live Star Wars premiere. Just last month, ReelPreviews.com teamed with Miramax Films for the studio's first live Internet broadcast from a red carpet premiere for their film, Happy, Texas, for which, within only 2 days, 250,000 people logged on to catch the action on the red carpet.
