Tench, The base price of the configurable system is $1,985, which is more than the list price of $1,899 for the system "on display." I just checked, and if you downgrade/delete all options that can be downgraded/deleted (no speakers, no Dellnet, lowest priced monitor) then you get to $1898. Dave
