AM, not only beaten to a pulp but watched the complete destruction of fundamental logic in the process. Exhibit 1:

finance.yahoo.com

For those of you who do not know, Textron makes helicopters, airplanes and other "things." They are a well run business with over 64,000 employees and over $8 billion in revenues and a market cap of $10 billion. They make a profit on increasing revenues. They have watched their stock get pummeled from 96 to 66 in the last 5 months. Last week they were compelled to issue a press release stating they did not know why the stock was getting pummeled and that the company was on target for its 4Q numbers.

Ebay, as most of you DO know, does not MAKE things. Rather, they facilitate the sale of Beanie Babies and such. They have around $92 MILLION in revenues and a market cap in excess of $18 BILLION. They make a profit on increasing revenues.

Try explaining this to a relative who is a retired Textron employee and who holds a chunk of Textron stock.

Regards, Ken.
