Hi Tom! Thanks for the return post. Please excuse the following as I am thinking out loud. Please feel free to throw as many stones at the rationale as possible. Informed, lively debate is the best disinfectant. I have read over the past year various "stent blues" reports regarding pricing. So far none of the big boys have wanted to resort to the price game to gain market share. However, I am watching this report with special attention. I do not know if the mutually assured destruction philosophy will stay everyone's hand if one guy choses to torpedo the pricing game. IHMO GDT will take the high road, as they have the most used stent lineup out there, also the whole carotid artery market is ripe for exploitation by GDT. They may lose a little in coronary and try to make it up in carotid. MDT has seen its AVE purchase suck wind. MDT is not a company that remains happy with a paltry #3 or #4 position. To expand vascular they may try pricing. JNJ has a new stent lineup on the way and it looks pretty good. JNJ will gain share - how much? not sure. They can try the new stent or their new stents combined with Reopro for an attractive bundle. Price is not their first choice, but they will use it. Remember USS and Ethicon? Enough ramblings. Thanks again for the post. I am very happy with the $22 + price. My BSX target price is higher, but my antenna are up and scanning for trouble. Cheers,
